TONKINESE
TON
The Tonkinese is a shorthaired cat that has a pointed coat pattern being midway between Himalayan point and Burmese point, this gives a distinctive coat colour and texture. This Breed has an intermediate body-shape which shows a sleek outline. The head is a modified wedge with muzzle being square. The slight nose break is more apparent in profile. An active and affectionate cat.
HEAD
Modified wedge, longer than wide, square muzzle with a whisker break.
NOSE
Long with a slight indentation in profile.
EARS
Medium in size, broad at base with rounded tips.Spaced well apart.
EYES
Medium in size, almond shaped, slanted and set wide apart.
Colour: Aqua
NECK
Medium long and slender.
BODY
Medium in size, lithe and muscular. Mid in type, between a svelte Siamese and the more compact Burmese.
LEGS
Long, slim and elegant.
PAWS
Rounded oval and dainty.
TAIL
Long in proportion to body and tapering.
COAT Medium-short, glossy and close-lying.
FAULTS
Total resemblance to Siamese or Burmese.
Definite nose break.
Blue or green eyes.
