Lifetime

The Lifetime Achievement award is presented to individuals who contributed significantly to the South African cat fancy and/or towards a specific breed.

JOAN BLAETTNER  I  2014

Joan received the Lifetime Award in 2014, in recognition of her selfless dedication to the South African cat fancy and unconditional loyalty, as well as outstanding leadership as Chairperson of CFSA over the years.  Although she has retired from breeding, judging and EXCO, she is still actively involved with CFSA as a valued advisor.

APRIL BAC  I  2011

April received the Lifetime Award in 2011, in recognition of her selfless dedication to the South Aftican cat fancy and unconditional loyalty, as well as outstanding leadership as President of CFSA since its inception in 1997.  April sadly passed away in February 2014, but she was a highly respected breeder, all breeds judge, fearless leader and true ambassador of the South African cat fancy for more than 4 decades.

ANN CUBLEY  I  2009

Ann received the Lifetime Award in 2009, in recognition of her selfless dedication to the South African cat fancy, unconditional loyalty and her unsurpassed love of cats, throughout her tenure as CFSA Registrar since its inception in 1997.  She has retired from breeding and judging, but we are fortunate to still see her at Championship shows every now and then.  Ann sadly passed away in 2021.

ANN HOSFORD  I  2001

Ann received the Lifetime Award in 2001, in recognition of the significant contribution she made to the Burmese breed over the years.  Ann owned Wedgwood Cattery and her gorgeous cats were entered into the Guinness Book of Records as she had 7 generations of supreme Burmese living in the same household.  This is truly a tremendous feat, to have 7 of the same breed, bred under the same cattery name and living in the same household.  Ann was also an all breeds judge for many years.  She sadly passed away in 2012.
